Welcome! Please allow me to share a bit of background about myself so you can get to know me better.
My name is Lisa, and I help individuals who fear discussing death and struggle with grief to explore their anxieties, develop End-Of-Life Plans, and grow through their grief, enabling them to live fully and die well when the time comes.
I am a certified End-Of-Life Practitioner (ELP), Death Doula, Funeral Celebrant, Usui Reiki Master, a Certified Grief Educator and the Owner/Founder of Soaring Heart Healing.
I bring my 30-year connection to the sacred, ceremony and ritual to the room when holding space and working with others. Along my life path, I have taken many workshops, trainings, seminars etc. to learn as much as I can and fill my “toolbelt” with numerous options to support people in a holistic way. I am passionate about helping people leave this world on their own terms, where possible. It is my wish to de-medicalize death and make the act of dying sacred again.
I have often felt powerless when a loved one in my life has died, and I have struggled with how to best support family, friends, and myself through this process. The truth is, there is not one singular way to do this and everyone’s journey towards death or through grief looks and feels different. I know this now and through my 600-hour ELP Training and Internship, I have gathered many tools and resources which in turn, has made me much better equipped to support the community in this way. I have also met many people who can offer support in ways that I cannot along the way and am blessed to have them as resources in my back pocket to share with you!
When I am not doing this work, I enjoy live music and entertainment with my wife, soaking in my hot tub, snuggling with my Husky, quality time with friends, traveling, time in nature and trying new vegan foods! It would be an honor to work with you and your loved ones and I look forward to meeting you.
