About Reiki
Reiki for Everyone
- Reiki is a Japanese spiritual healing art that directly translates into Universal Life (Rei) Energy (Ki).
- It is the pure form of healing energy and it is NOT affiliated with any particular religion.
- Reiki is NOT the same as massage because physical touch by the practitioner is not necessary during the session, nor is it based on belief or suggestion.
- Reiki IS a subtle and effective complementary medicine which enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
- All living things have an energy, or Ki, that runs through them and it should typically be strong and free flowing which keeps them in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
- A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through you and surrounds you. It treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, spirit and leaves you feeling relaxed and peaceful. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can benefit from.

What To Expect For Your Session
- A session is usually 60 to 90 minutes long. Before your session, a brief intake will occur in which we will review your Intake Form. I will give you an opportunity to discuss any particular problems or issues you are experiencing and ask what you are hoping to achieve from your session. I will describe the session to the client & begin when ready.
- For the actual session, the client will rest comfortably on a massage table on their back with their shoes removed. Unlike massage, no articles of clothing are removed and a client is always fully clothed; loose, comfortable clothing is suggested. Due to licensing requirements, all sessions will be hands-off where I will hold my hands slightly above your body. The session will then proceed by moving through specific standard Reiki hand positions beginning at the person’s head.
- A recipient of Reiki might feel a warming sensation or a tingling during the session or nothing at all but sheer relaxation. The session should be very pleasant, relaxing and invigorating. When the session is complete, I always allow for time to come out of your relaxed state and discuss what might have come up for you during your session as well as any insights I might have received.
COVID PROTOCOLS
It is standard practice that we place clean bedding on the table before each new client. All items that can be, are sanitized between uses. I am happy to wear a mask during your session, please ask!

I ask of you the following:
- Please do NOT come for your session if you are feeling unhealthy. Notify me ASAP.
- If you are uncertain of if you are experiencing allergies or Covid, please test yourself ahead of time.
